Martin G. Pembroke, CPA - Managing Director of Operations

Martin joined Spectrum in December of 2006 and currently serves as the Managing Director of Operations. In this function, Martin heads all operations and service teams in Chicago.

From 2001 through December 2006 Martin served as the Financial and Operations Principal for an NASD member firm where he was responsible for all internal financial reporting to the Board of Directors, and external reporting to all regulatory bodies. While there, Martin served as a Member of the Operating and Strategic Planning Committee.
Previously, Martin was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Tucker Anthony Capital Markets where he also served as a Member of the Executive, Operating and Compensation Committees.

Martin received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has completed industry qualification exams for General Securities Principal (Series 24 & 63), Financial and Operational Principal (Series 27) and Associated Person (Series 3). Martin has served as a Member of the National Association of Securities Dealers Net Capital Task Force and as a Member of the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 27/28 Exam Review Committee.

Michael Evans, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect

Michael Evans was the original designer and developer of Spectrum proprietary back office system, VBO.

Before joining Spectrum, he was at SS&C where he was the original designer and developer of Antares, real-time trade order management system. He received a BA in computer science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo.
